da bet esporte: Liverpool are stressing over an injury to key defender Daniel Agger, with a suspected medial knee ligament threatening the centre-half’s season according to Metro.
da heads bet: The Denmark international is Brendan Rodgers’ first choice in the heart of his rearguard alongside Martin Skrtel, despite rumours linking him with a move away from Anfield in the summer.
The Scandinavian stopper was replaced by Jamie Carragher after 80 minutes of the 2-1 defeat to Manchester United on Sunday at Anfield, with the Merseyside club’s medics set to analyse the extent of the injury on Monday.
If Agger is diagnosed with a medial ligament ailment, the player could well be sidelined for the remainder of the season, in what would be a real blow for Brendan Rodgers’ men.
The Reds are also set to assess Fabio Borini on Monday, after the Italian picked up an ankle injury in the clash with Sir Alex Ferguson’s men.
The forward was replaced just after the half-time interval, and a layoff would leave Liverpool with Luis Suarez as the only recognised available striker at the club.
