Arsenal have an embarrassment of riches in their youth teams and Trae Coyle may well be the next youngster to roll off the production line.
The Under-18 team have been in irrepressible from this season and thumped Swansea 8-0 at the weekend.
The most noteworthy aspect of the game was a glorious hat-trick from the forward, who began his treble with a brilliant free-kick from range, having already assisted the third goal, scored by Ben Cottrell.
Thereafter, Coyle took a long ball down in the penalty area, shimmied past his man and leathered the ball into the top corner, before he was set up for a tap-in by Matthew Smith, who also laid on his second.
Coyle’s statistics are, quite simply, ridiculous.
This season, he has made 11 appearances for the Under-18s and has scored seven goals, while laying on six assists.
Six of those goals came in his last six outings, along with five of his assists.
Coyle is, like many of his generation, a multifunctional player. He can play on the left wing but is equally adept at featuring as a striker or as an attacking midfielder.
He has already been called up to the Under-23 squad, playing 13 times and laying on two assists.
It is no surprise to note that he has also been capped by England at youth level; he has four caps for the Under-16s and three for the Under-17s.
He signed his first professional contract in January of 2018 and, while he has yet to be given an opportunity in the first-team, it will surely come in time.
It helps, of course, that Coyle can play anywhere across the front three as well as in midfield and Unai Emery may well be seduced by his versatility.
His hat-trick against Swansea was a timely reminder of his talents and he is surely too good to stay in the Under-18s for much longer.
