Erik Lamela has insisted that he is happy at Tottenham Hotspur amid suggestions that the Argentine could return to Serie A.
Lamela, 25, has a contract with Spurs until the summer of 2020, but speculation linking the attacker with a move to Italy continues to gather pace.
Juventus and Inter Milan have both been credited with an interest in the 23-time Argentina international, who spent two years with Roma before moving to the Premier League.
Lamela, who is valued at £22.5m by transfermarkt.co.uk, has only just recently returned to action following more than a year on the sidelines with various hip problems.
The attacker has said that he is ‘very good at Tottenham’, playing down suggestions that he will look to seek pastures new at the end of the 2017-18 campaign.
Lamela told La Gazzetta dello Sport:
“There’s never been anything with the Bianconeri. Inter? I only think about the club I’m at, and I am very good here at Tottenham. The club is getting better and better, and I love living in London.
“After the first season many people told me to leave England, but I didn’t want to give up, it was a challenge. Now I’m still here, so I made the right choice.”
Lamela won a controversial late penalty in Tottenham’s 2-2 draw with Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
The attacker is expected to be in the Spurs XI that hosts Newport County in their FA Cup fourth-round replay on Wednesday night.
