da poker: Lazar Markovic’s time at Liverpool is unlikely to be looked back on as a fond memory for the winger.
da fezbet: Since moving to Anfield from Benfica in 2014, the Serbian has made just 34 appearances in all competitions.
In that time, Markovic has contributed with three goals and one assist, but for the majority of his spell as a Liverpool player he has been on loan.
The winger has been sent to Fenerbahce, Sporting Lisbon, Hull City and Anderlecht on temporary stints, none of which turned into permanent deals.
As reported by ESPN, Markovic was on the verge of joining Anderlecht this summer, but the transfer fell through.
Now, the Liverpool Echo reports that the winger has been sent to train with the Under-23s as opposed to with the rest of Jurgen Klopp’s squad.
