But Mourinho will definitely have a tall task on his hands now and bringing the club back to the upper table will surely be a priority for him in the remainder of the ongoing 2019/20 campaign.
And he will be delighted to see some of the legends of the club welcoming him on social media.
Ledley King was one of them as the now-retired 39-year-old posted a message for the Portuguese coach on Twitter.
King spent his whole career at Spurs and has managed to tally a total of 315 games for them, even scoring 12 goals and assisting two under his belt in the process.
Such a big name and an icon of the squad welcoming Mourinho to the team will no doubt be a good starting point for the new coach.
Still, we’ll have to wait and see whether he’ll be able to do his magic with this Spurs team or not.
